About Volunteers

For more information on CAHHS Volunteer Services Department leadership and organization, please see the Organization Chart.

2008 Committee on Volunteer Services

The CAHHS Committee on Volunteer Services (COV) is an essential link among auxiliaries, volunteer groups and area councils throughout the state. In keeping with their goals and objectives, the CAHHS staff and COV initiate, plan and recommend policies and standards for volunteer activities. Appointments are for one-year terms. However, members may be reappointed for up to three consecutive terms.

For a list of committee members, see the 2008 COV roster.

2008 Directors’ Coordinating Council

The CAHHS Directors’ Coordinating Council (DCC) was formed in 1978 to provide a communications link between paid volunteer directors and CAHHS. DCC also is a coordinating link between the three directors' associations in the state and CAHHS. All DCC plans, programs and policies are subject to the approval of the CAHHS Board of Trustees. DCC accepts assignments at the suggestion and direction of the CAHHS staff director of volunteer services.

For a list of council members, see the 2008 DCC roster.
