Volunteers Light the Way to Down Home Comfort Foods

Here is the result of a labor of love that started by the association requesting comfort food recipes from all the volunteers who attended CAHHS educational programs throughout the year. The result was more than 700 submissions and the call went out for an additional 250 volunteers to assist in the testing and grading of each recipe. This cookbook contains the "best of the best" and will reintroduce you to some of your favorite childhood foods, as well as some modern interpretations of what spells "comfort" today. With more than 125 pages and 250 recipes, we present popular recipes that will nourish the soul as well as the body. From macaroni and cheese to pot roast, chocolate chip cookies to sweet apple pie, toffee bar coffee cake to peaches and cream French toast, chicken enchilada casserole to vegetarian lasagna, we could go on and on.
